It is to the humans benefit that we do not remember everything though. i. If we consciously rehearse the information through our short-term memory, it can be sent to our long-term memory. Long-term memory holds information that can be recalled from previous experiences and is often called â€Å"memory for later†. j. This monumental amount of information sits in your head waiting to be retrieved. o. Retrieval is a process only done by the long term memory. p. If you successfully retrieve something, then that information you studied or story you account, was certainly retained in your long term memory. Conclusion I. To recap, I told you about the three areas of your memory. a. We went over the sensory memory. b. I discussed the working memory, or the short-term memory. c.
